Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to Nottingham to join us for this new and exciting course dedicated to gynecological ultrasound. The course, which is run over three days, has received excellent feedback and currently a 100% recommendation rate. I promise it will prove to be intellectually stimulating and rewarding for each and every one of you regardless of your expertise and knowledge.
The course has been designed specifically for those of you who practice gynaecological ultrasound and want to learn more about advanced scanning techniques particularly 3D and Doppler ultrasound. The course has distinct practical and clinical components and our aims include:
Establishing the basic principles of gynaecological ultrasound:
- Getting the best out of your machine
- Assessment of the pelvis with 2D
- Application of Doppler
- The role of 3D and 4D
- The role of saline sonohysterography
Practical examples of how to use this information in the clinical setting:
- Demonstration of normal anatomy and physiology
- Demonstration of ovarian and uterine pathology
- Manual and automated quantification of 3D data
A large proportion of the course will be dedicated to the use of 4D View. Datasets will be provided and we will look through these as a group after each session to provide examples of the topics discussed. You will become confident with the software and leave being able to use the different display options and perform reliable measurements of volume and vascularity.
The course is held at the Park Plaza Hotel, which is a modern, four-star, deluxe hotel in the heart of the city and within walking distance of the main shopping and business districts. The hotel has its own multi award-winning pan-Asian restaurant “Chino Latinos” where we dine each evening. Accommodation and catering are provided in the course fee.
Further information and a timetable outlining the content of the course are available in the Course Prospectus.
Yours sincerely,
Nick Raine-Fenning
